The flat pedal shoes I wear are Shimano GR9, they are not quite as grippy as 5.10s, but close, They are grippy enough that I do find myself struggling to reposition my foot when using long pins on flat pedals. I use Shimano Saint or XT (large platform) flat pedals. Unfortunately, Jenson does not carry these, but they do have the Chromag Scarab, which I bought (at EP pricing) a while back and actually prefer over the more well-known Dagga pedal (Daggas were a gift from Chromag).
