LARGEST FISHING PORT AND SEAFOOD MARKET in the Philippines | Metro Manila's NAVOTAS FISH PORT
Welcome to PH Dot Net. Today we'll take you to the largest fishing port and fish market complex in the country, the Navotas Fish Port.
Unfortunately, we're unfamiliar with most of the fishes so we can't name them.
We bought 4 different fishes during our visit. Tried memorizing what they're called but I can only recall one when we got home haha. Only recalled the Bola-bola. This looked like milkfish or bangus but longer and slimmer. The rest we cooked it without knowing what they were called.
According to a fish vendor, it's best to visit at night, or early in the morning. As early as 4 AM or earlier so you'll have great choices of the freshest seafood. We visited at around 7 AM and only leftovers were left for sale. Almost all fishes in those crates or containers had already been sold.
Also, most areas are wet and muddy so be sure to wear your waterproof boots if you wish to visit.
